Established in 1998, Harrisonburg-Rockingham Office on Children and Youth promotes positive youth development through working with all youth-serving organizations in the area to support, coordinate and examine the needs of our youth. They develop a comprehensive plan for youth services based on input from agencies, input from the youth survey, and focus group data.
Harrisonburg-Rockingham Office on Children and Youth promotes positive youth development by working with youth-serving organizations to support, coordinate, and examine the needs of youth. They gather data, work to coordinate services for efficient delivery, advocate for services, serve as a resource center, and oversee wide reaching services: Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Reading Road Show, Shenandoah Valley Migrant Education, Youth Suicide Prevention and Youth Council.
