Friendship Industries is a business with a social mission to create work opportunities and job development for persons with disabilities. Founded in 1964, Friendship Industries was the vision of local citizens concerned with special education students’ futures. By focusing on persons with disabilities, Friendship Industries fills an employment need in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County for those traditionally unemployed. Persons with disabilities come to Friendship Industries for our work rehabilitation programs which focus on adjusting and learning to work, maintaining your employment, and providing work transportation to and from our facility. Job training and work opportunities are generated through our businesses of contract packaging, government contracting, mail management & fulfillment, and secure document destruction. Friendship Industries emphasis is providing competitive commercial products in an atmosphere of compassion and personal growth.
