Harrisonburg Police Foundation

The Harrisonburg Police Foundation was formed in 2010 to help fund urgently needed programs and equipment for the Harrisonburg Police Department.  It is dedicated to preventing crime, saving lives and making our community a better and safer place to live and work by assisting the Harrisonburg Police Department with resources.

The Harrisonburg Police Foundation’s fundraising efforts provide individuals and corporations the opportunity to support law enforcement by participation in a proactive program of awareness and education promoting positive police and community relations.  While entirely independent of the Harrisonburg Police Department, they collaborate with them to identify and prioritize special needs that are not funded through the City’s ordinary budgeting process.
