Our Nonprofit Search gives you an easy way to find out more about volunteering your time which is often the most valuable gift you can give a nonprofit. At an organization’s summary page, you can volunteer through their website or you can simply click on the “I want to volunteer” button, if available, to send them an e-mail.

WMRA & WEMC Public Radio

Started in 1955, WEMC is Virginia’s first pubic radio station, while WMRA has been a National Public Radio affiliate since 1975. They provide a total of six stations serving the Shenandoah Valley and the Charlottesville and Farmville areas.

WMRA is primarily news and talk programming weekdays, and a mix of news, entertainment, folk and blues music on weekends. WEMC is primarily a classical music station, with some news weekdays, and a mix of classical, folk, world and sacred music on weekends.
